Live Painting - Updated 8th September 2026
-
I will need a table and chair provided by you or the venue to set up on. I cannot be seated on a high table and bar stool type chair.
-
Half of the payment is required within a week of sending the invoice to secure the date. This is non refundable from this point.
-
8 weeks before the wedding, the rest of payment is required, and this is non refundable at this point. If payment is not received by the agreed deadlines, I reserves the right to cancel the booking and retain any payments already made
-
I will need to meet your event planner/ a point of contact you choose on the day so they can show me where to set up, and where to take the photo of the moment.
-
I will take your painting home to finalise and add to the painting. I will aim to finish and send this to you within 3-4 months of your wedding date, however an updated timeline will be provided a few days after the wedding day.
-
If you want me to paint a specific pose and have a specific vision for your painting, you must tell me this BEFORE your wedding date. If you leave details ambiguous on the form under “Moment to Paint”, I will take creative direction.
-
If I have the opportunity, I will come to show you the photo I have taken to ensure you are happy with this. If I don’t have this opportunity, for example if you are too busy, or have chosen to book me as a surprise, I will send you the painting from the event day via email and you must tell me immediately if you do not like the pose.
-
I am happy to make small tweaks which I deem as reasonable to your painting when it is complete if you request them, however once the background and pose is painted, these cannot be significantly altered. Please make sure you are happy with the composition on the day.
-
If I send the painting to you and you would like to send it back to me to make changes, any shipping costs incurred will need to be covered by you.
-
If you are not happy with the painting after following Terms 8 and 9, I will not be able to refund your payment. Please ensure you take a look at my portfolio to make sure you are happy with my style and level of quality
-
If you need to change your wedding date, I will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the new date, subject to availability. If I am unavailable on the revised date, this will be treated as a cancellation by you. You are able to use any money paid to me as credit for either a new event or commission equal to the price paid.
-
If you wish to cancel your booking, please notify me as soon as possible. Due to the nature of wedding bookings and the date being reserved exclusively for your event, payments already made are non-refundable.
-
In the unlikely event that I am unable to attend due to illness, emergency, or circumstances outside of my reasonable control, payments made will be refunded to you in full.
-
I will arrive at the agreed time and location and complete the painting process as discussed with you. You are responsible for ensuring:
-The venue permits live painting
-Suitable space is available for me to work
-I have reasonable access to the chosen painting area
-Safe working conditions are provided
-
If you would like me to paint outdoors, my set up on the day must be under cover. For health and safety, and equipment protection, I cannot set up outdoors in wet, cold, excessively hot, or windy conditions. An appropriate indoor alternative must be provided by the client.
-
I will use my professional judgement to create the final artwork. Due to the handmade nature of artwork, the finished painting will not be an exact photographic reproduction and changes may be required e.g. due to the weather, changes in schedule, delays, etc. Small differences in colour, positioning, interpretation and artistic style are to be expected and form part of the uniqueness of a hand-painted piece.
-
You are responsible for caring for the finished artwork once delivered. I cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by incorrect storage, handling, exposure to unsuitable conditions, moisture, direct sunlight or other external factors.
-
Copyright of the artwork remains with me unless otherwise agreed in writing. You receive ownership of the physical painting only. I retain the right to photograph and display images of the artwork for portfolio, website, social media, marketing and promotional purposes unless you request otherwise in writing. You may share photographs of the artwork for personal use but may not reproduce, sell or commercially use the artwork without permission.
-
If at any point I feel unsafe, disrespected, harassed, or subjected to inappropriate behaviour, I reserve the right to: address the issue directly with the offending individual(s), if appropriate, escalate the issue to the event organiser, wedding planner, or venue management, or withdraw from the event immediately without any liability, penalty, or repercussion to myself.
-
I am committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of my customers' personal information. I collect only necessary data for fulfilling orders and communicating with clients effectively. I am authorised to capture photos and videos using my own device for the purpose of the service. I may also take photos or video content of the day, and reserve the right to use and share these for my marketing and portfolio purposes unless you express otherwise in writing.
